Associates'
Week

October 4th to 10th 2008 saw the arrival of a dozen intrepid associates, sharing together in the Macleod centre on Iona.  It was a great week with plenty of time for sharing and friendship as well as studying the theme of 'Peace'- the Iona Community's area of focus for 2008-2009.  The week started with the news that the Iona ferry was not running but as we arrived the gales moderated and we got across by mid afternoon.

We are very grateful to the island staff who facilitated the week and to Kathy Galloway who led it.  If you are one of those people who could not go this year look in your diary and see if you can get to next year's (17th - 23rd October, 2009).

We studied aspects of peacemaking in our home communities . . . and surprised ourselves with our creative artwork:
	each building on another's foundations - a moral for peacemaking amongst nations
